On January 4, 2025, the electric desalter renovation project of Sinopec Tahe Refining and Chemical Company was officially put into operation. In order to improve the high salt content problem of heavy oil in Tahe Refining and Chemical Processing, our company established an expert group to conduct on-site oil sampling, based on the actual environmental conditions on site, simulation analysis was conducted in our laboratory, and the design and construction of the modified equipment were finally completed.
After the electric desalter equipment constructed by our company was put into operation, the salt content of heavy oil with high salt content was successfully reduced to less than 2mg/l, effectively solving the problems of salt deposition and corrosion in atmospheric pressure equipment and ensuring stable and efficient production in the refinery.
